Recreation Committee Meeting

Old Business

• Brianne gave the treasurer’s report
• Feedback from the concerts:
• • Overall Positive from community members
  • Concerns about food trucks not making enough money
  • • Melissa expressed that a lot of people eat before hand; Brianne agreed
  • All members present agree that the stage and tent on the grass is the best way to host the concerts
  • • All in agreement to continue to work with Abbott Rental

New Business

• Melissa made a motion to discuss a potential date of Trunk or Treat on Oct 24
• • Melissa to check the town calendar. Once date is approved, Melissa will email town employees, and other entities to invite people to decorate
  •  cars and/or donate candy
  • Brianne suggested to have a sign up to make sure we have enough people to decorate and if don’t have enough people in town to hand out
  •  candy, potentially pivot the event to a Halloween Party
• Melissa made a motion to discuss a potential date for Photos with Santa of December 12th 9-11
• • Melissa will check town calendar and Santa availability
• Dianne suggested the following dates for summer concerts next year: June 26, July 10th, July 24, and August 14th. Dianne and other members
•  think if dates are chosen earlier we may be able to get bigger bands and advertise earlier
• Brianne made a suggestion to bring back a Paint and Sip event. Money in the budget could buy materials. Members in attendance will do
•  research to find an artist to run a Paint and sip. Potentially planning this event for January/early February

@ 6:48 Melissa made a motion to bring the meeting to a close, Dianne seconded.

Next meeting will be September 28th. On the agenda will be firming up upcoming event dates, and the Rec budget.
